Where is Blackrock?

Blackrock is located in the heart of Yulee, Florida.
Turn at the flashing yellow light near Wal-Mart onto Blackrock Road from A1A.
The church is 1.7 miles down on the right. You can get directions to the church on our Directions page.

Where would I fit in?

With adult Bible classes for married couples, single adults, college students, etc., Children Sunday school classes for beginners to seniors in high school there is a place for you!

 YOU WILL BENEFIT FROM THE SUNDAY BIBLE CLASSES

Adults can choose from many adult Bible classes to attend Sunday morning. These classes vary in size and focus.

Classes are also available for children as young as four years old up to seniors in high school. These classes give them an opportunity to grow spiritually & learn vital biblical truths at a young age.

Sunday School classes  Sunday School classes meet from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., right before the main preaching service. This is the perfect opportunity for you & your family to meet other fellow believers & also learn great Bible truths.

 

WE PROVIDE FIRST-CLASS CHILD CARE

We also provide first-class nurseries and childcare for your newborn or baby, where they will be kept safe and well supervised. Our nursery staff are well- experienced and loving; we are good at what we do.

  

  

  

WE HAVE PARKING RESERVED FOR YOU

Ample & convenient parking is available for our visitors adjacent to the main Blackrock sign. We also have parking spots designated for the elderly & handicapped.

What should I wear?

There is no strict dress code to attend any service. On Sunday, some men wear a suit and tie while
others come casual wearing jeans & a shirt. No matter what is worn, it is our desire to honor the Lord in modest attire.

Sunday Morning and Evening Services - 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Every Sunday morning & Sunday evening, the main preaching service is held in our sanctuary. As you walk in the main building, a friendly usher or greeter will greet you & be available to help you find a seat & answer any questions you may have.

We believe in having a church service with good, uplifting hymns & spiritual songs, prayer, & best
of all, practical preaching of the Word of God.

During the service we generally always have a time of greeting to each other. As a visitor, you will be given a visitor's packet during the service so that you can learn more about us & so that we can learn more about you.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting and Bible Study - 7:00 p.m.

The Wednesday evening Praise & Bible study takes place every week at 7:00 p.m. This is a time during the week when the church family gathers to share prayer request & praises for the many blessings we experience. After prayer time, expository preaching from the Bible will be given by the Pastor.

You will learn truths that will help you in the areas of Christian living, prayer, marriage, child rearing, relationships, & much much more!

 

CHILDRENS CHURCH

Children’s church is provided from ages 4 years through 6th grade during Sunday morning worship service.

YOUTH

Our  youth service is provided from grades 7th through12th grade during Wednesday evening
worship service.

SENIORS

We have a very active senior ministry here at Blackrock.

First Sunday

Our children attend adult worship services during the first Sunday of every month.

Singing & Special Music

Every service gives you an opportunity to join us in singing hymns, praise & worship songs. Each pew provides a hymnal for you to use. The music is also displayed in the front of the sanctuary on a large multi-media screen.

You'll enjoy the music as our 70-member choir sings while our orchestra accompanies them. We also have children’s choir & orchestra specials during some of our services.

We encourage each of our members to become active in the music programs if they feel lead.

AWANA

AWANA is an Bible-centered youth ministry providing local churches with weekly programs.
Our AWANA Ministry is for children from 2 years old through sixth grade. It runs from September through May.

Preaching

We consider the preaching of the Word of God to be the best and the most important time of the service. I Corinthians 1:21 reads,
"...For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.."

We believe that the best help you can get in any struggle of life is from the Bible and that preaching is that help.

Offerings

The offering time is an extension of our worship.  As a guest, you are welcome to worship through
giving, but please do not feel obligated. If you would like a record of your donations, you must put them
in one of the envelopes provided at your seat. 

Invitation

At the end of the preaching, the pastor will ask everyone to stand & will give an invitation. This
is a time for many to respond and make a life changing decision by walking down the aisle &
praying with the pastor or one of our spiritual counselors. A decision may be to trust Jesus Christ as personal Savior or to become a more devoted Christian.

Whatever your decision may be, you are invited  to join others during the invitation time. If you would like someone to pray for you or would like to make your decision public, members of the church will be available to pray with you.

Baptism

Sometimes at the beginning of a service, we share in a baptism of a new convert. Those who have trusted Jesus Christ are baptized by immersion.  Their baptism symbolizes the death , burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.  We do not believe you can be saved by baptism, but it is the first step of obedience in a new Christian life.
